No.  Applicant with residence visas issued in Dubai and the Northern Emirates can file their visa applications at the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai.

Who are qualified for...?

An alien spouse and unmarried children under 21 years old of any Philippine citizen may apply for a TRV.

What is the validity...?

A TRV is valid for a probationary period of one (1) year. Thereafter, it may be extended for two (2) years.

What are the benefits...?

Once you have this visa you may:

    * be employed in the Philippines
    * lease real property in the Philippines
    * own personal property in the Philippines
    * qualify for Philippine citizenship, after residence of five years.

My child holdsa foreign passport...?

Yes, you need to apply for a Philippine visa even if one of the parents is a Filipino.  However, if your country is included in the list of no visa-required entry (please refer to the list given on the other page), you can proceed to the Philippines.

I plan to extend...?

In case of a temporary visitor's visa-holder whose stay in the Philippines will exceed the authorized period of stay, he/she will have to report to the Bureau of Immigration, secure an extension of stay and pay the corresponding immigration fees. Information on fees for extension of stay and other Immigration fees are available at the Bureau of Immigration website (www.immigration.gov.ph).
